Truly Napa Valley is like having a local best friend show you around. I drove every back road, hiked every trail, tasted as much as humanly possible and visited over 100 wineries to bring you the very best Napa Valley has to offer — experiences new to even a few locals. I don’t pretend to be a wine expert, but I do have a knack for finding experiences that delight the senses, fill your soul and relax the mind.

Joyrides of America is an online journal for wanderlusters, freedom junkies, daydreamers, curiosity seekers and armchair travelers. Through photography, stories and experiences, I celebrate the freedom of the open road and the beauty of the American landscape. I also share stories about living in an Airstream.

The Silver Snail
By 2007, I had been self-employed for eight years and frequently brought work on vacation with me. After an extended five-week road trip through the Canadian Maritimes, I decided to buy an Airstream travel trailer and live my creative life on the road, bringing work and my animal friends with me. The Silver Snail was my travel log from September 2007 until May 2012.
